Ceremonial Cacao Tahini Swirl Brownies
Hemp–Flax–Coconut • Gluten-Free • Fudgy
A Ritual Offering • Plant-Based • Grounding & Intentional—a full-bodied love letter to your taste buds and your cells. The tahini brings more than its signature nutty richness and luxurious mouthfeel; it’s packed with calcium, healthy fats, and minerals that actually nourish while you’re lost in fudgy bliss. Ceremonial cacao elevates the experience from “chocolate fix” to sacred moment, opening the heart and grounding the nervous system with its theobromine buzz and magnesium magic. This isn’t about restriction or virtue-signaling wellness culture—it’s about eating something so decadent, so satisfying, that your body sighs in relief because it’s finally being fed pleasure AND nourishment at the same time. When you make these brownies with presence, you’re not just baking; you’re offering yourself permission to be sensual, embodied, and unapologetically delighted by food that loves you back.
Sacred Seed Flour Base
Grind these together until fine and powdery:
¼ cup hulled hemp seeds
2 tbsp ground flaxseed
2.5 tbsp coconut flakes
Set aside with intention.
Ingredients
Brownie Body
6 tbsp butter (or coconut oil for fully plant-based)
2 tbsp cacao powder
¼ cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
¾ cup ceremonial-grade cacao, chopped
2 flax eggs (2 tbsp ground flax + 6 tbsp water, rested 5 minutes)
1 cup cane sugar
2–4 tbsp pure maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp sea salt
½ cup tahini
½ cup Seed Flour (from above)
Instructions
1. Prepare your space
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the flax eggs
Whisk and let rest 5 minutes until thickened.
3. Melt the cacao and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in the cacao powder, until smooth and glossy. Set aside to cool slightly.
4. Make the tahini batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flax eggs, sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt until combined. Add the tahini and fold into the mixture. Gently fold in the seed flour until just combined.
5. Reserve the swirl
Remove and set aside ⅓ of the tahini batter for swirling.
6. Add chocolate to remaining batter
Pour the melted chocolate mixture, add the chocolate chips into the bowl with the remaining tahini batter. Stir until well combined.
7. Prepare to bake
Pour the chocolate batter into the prepared pan, smoothing to the edges with a spatula.
8. Create the swirl
Lay the reserved tahini batter over the smoothed chocolate batter. Use a knife, chopstick, or skewer to create a figure 8 swirling pattern or heart shapes through the darker chocolate batter.
9. Bake and rest
Bake for 22–26 minutes, until edges are set and the center still holds softness. Let cool completely in the pan for at least 1 hour before slicing. The swirl will firm as it sets and flavor deepens overnight.
Notes
These brownies are grounding, and ceremonial—made to be felt, not just tasted.
Serve at cacao circles, full moon gatherings, or as a personal grounding practice.
Store covered at room temperature for a soft bite, or refrigerate for dense, fudgy richness.
Flavor blooms after several hours and is even better the next day.
May each bite bring presence, pleasure, and depth.
